CISS packaging...

This is quite an old video but it's very difficult to get footage of ID card installations!
It shows a CISS with automatic card loading, receiving hoppers taken directly from the Maurer card perso line. No operator touches the cards between processes.
The cards are fed into the CISS and inspected on both sides (OCR and surface inspection). The chip and RFID data is also read and verified.
Cards are then grouped into batches to be packaged for dispatch to local town halls. The intermediate storage buffer is there in case the cards aren't in exact group sequence (for example if a card from a group has been remade, the rest of the group has to wait for that card).
Once the group is complete, it is fed into the two banding modules for cross banding and then into the counting and labelling module where the group of cards is counted and a label with all the batch info is printed and applied to the top of the pack.
