This video shows a CISS sorting system built for a customer which sends out gift cards as part of a loyalty programme. Customers can choose from a selection of gift cards - different providers and different denominations. The customer needs to create a rainbow deck of gift cards ready for the mailing system. As some cards have different values but the same design, manual operators would make mistakes creating batches, hence the need for automation of the process.

Load a job database.
Load all the cards. Feed the cards, read and verify the cards and put them into temporary storage in the sequencers.
When the system detects that all cards required for a group are in the sequencers, the system can unload the cards in order to create the group.
Group separation cards can be printed the batch info and fed between groups.
Finished groups can be shingled on a conveyor belt or restacked into an output hopper which can be transferred directly to the mailing machine.
